Chemistry

A sound knowledge of chemistry is required to fully understand most other areas of science, and this is why the study of chemistry is either compulsory or recommended by many other disciplines in the Universities.

Chemistry opens the door for many careers because training in chemistry is essential for many positions in industry, is highly desirable for science teaching, and is useful for careers in the public service and management. Both the public and the private sectors increasingly draw their higher management echelons from chemistry graduates.

The Department is provided with modern equipment facilities, Spacious Multimedia to deliver lectures. Our Chemistry Laboratory is furnished with marble stoned tables together with water basins and burners to do experiments, emergency shower room for accidental corrosive chemicals, fume cupboard to carry on experiments related to poisonous gases. For safety reason, we have fire extinguishers. To develop and to make our students capable in theoretical and practical aspect we provide apparatus individually to our students at a time with free practical booklet.

Individual attention is given to the students in O and A level theory classes so that students can be well versed in CAIE syllabus.

Our Department has highly qualified, well trained, dedicated and enthusiastic six(06) faculty Members. It aims to impart high quality education by inspiring students to come out to compete globally.

We ensure,

  • O and A level students to participate in Science Fair, Chemistry Olympiad and various science festivals in national and international levels which prepare students to tackle the big challenges in their life.
  • Producing very high percentage of results every year and scaling up to 100% (World Highest and Country Top in (CAIE) Cambridge International Assessment Examination).
  • Preparing students for success in academics and industry and making life-changing discoveries that benefit the world.
