Message from Principal
Bismillah Hirrahma Nirrahim (“In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful“).
Please allow me to start with Islamic greetings to you all – “Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu” meaning "May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you."
I am extremely happy and elated to be entrusted with the solemn responsibility of leading Manarat Dhaka International School and College (MDIC), Alhamdulillah (All the praise for Allah). MDIC is one of the unique and premier English Medium International Schools in Bangladesh that blends spiritual and moral education (compulsory from KG to Grade 8) with Cambridge International Education (CIE). Manarat is an Arabic word that means ‘Beacon’. Since its inception, MDIC has been beaconing bright and sharp for the young boys and girls from home and abroad to greet its light of knowledge and skills for their all-embracing growth including spiritual, moral and ethical grooming. With its matured and competent faculty and comprehensive support system, MDIC has been making great strides in infusing in its students required competence and moral-ethical-social-national-international values with a view to preparing them for future challenges at national and global spheres. Starting its humble journey in 1979 in its own campus at Gulshan-2, under the patronage of Sheikh Fouad Abdulhamid AlKhateeb, the then Ambassador of KSA in Bangladesh, MDIC is a reputed seat of learning today with nearly 4000 students, 250 faculty and 150 support staff. MDIC values every student as its most important asset and amanat (an Arabic word that means ‘Safety Deposit’ or ‘Precious Keepsake’). MDIC runs two shifts (Morning & Day) in order to manage increasing number of students who consider Manarat as their destination of excellence. With its able and proud alumni spread across the globe, MDIC has woven a bright and multi-colored legacy to be proud of. Steered by a highly competent Board of Trustee, MDIC is a nonprofit institution that reinvests its revenues for its all-encompassing and steady growth. Imbibed with the principles of “Faith, Education, Morality, Excellence”, MDIC strongly believes that education with ability to distinguish between right and wrong by all the humans on mother planet is the crucial need of the time for peace, harmony, safety and balanced growth of all the creatures living on it. In order to achieve so, MDIC believes in a 4-dimensional education model in which parents/guardians comprise an immensely important dimension to complement the rest 3 dimensions namely: Students, Faculty and MDIC Administration including the Board of Trustee.
For its continuing development and professional growth, MDIC is open to your suggestions, comments and opinions and solicits your Dua (prayers). May Allah’s blessings and mercy be the perpetual companion of MDIC and all its past, present and prospected associates.
Ameen.
